2018-08-23 Laurelhurst Park, summer

A view of Firwood Lake. This is the first painting in what should turn into a series of paintings of Laurelhurst Park.
After a couple of weeks, much too long a time, I’m back to painting landscapes again. I’d run out of paper and it took that long before I was able to get ahold of more. I accidentally bought cold pressed rather than hot pressed watercolor paper, though. It’s the Dick Blick brand and appears to be smoother than Arches, the brand of cold pressed paper I’ve used before. I haven’t decided if I like it as well as hot pressed paper yet.
